I went to Maryland
Ok for the annoying part of this post: I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE
I published a poem (!!) with my beloved Wild Greens Mag. It’s about climate change and Texas.
If you missed it, my collage was featured in this year’s issue of Just Femme and Dandy
The book that I was a (small part of/published a chapter in) was reviewed to high praise in the Journal of Southern History

Philly
I stayed with my friend Keith which was a delight! I spent a day just kind of wandering around my old haunts (and old house) and it was weird, blissful, and restorative, and I also cried. The city is changing of course and also I am changing, I am no longer the 26-year-old who lived there. But damn. The tables in my favorite coffee shop changed but at least it’s still there. My favorite diner closed, my old street got Trees, and the bus has WIFI. what the hell. My two favorite bookshops are gone, but Head House Books is still there and I of course bought a book and then I went to B2 and Termini’s for cupcakes and popped into South Fellini and got so many fun little treats. We went to Silk City. for dinner that night which was also weird because the last time I went there was also the first and it was the first month of my first year in college, in Philly, in the city which I would make mine and then leave. Is Austin mine? Not like that but it’s more mine than anything now and that’s a hard weird thing to consider.
